Bar is the most practical coastal base for anyone who wants both sea and lake. The Sozina tunnel puts Virpazar half an hour away, the railway runs the same route in twenty-five minutes, and the town itself is a working port rather than a resort strip — cheaper, calmer and considerably less crowded in August.
