Rijeka Crnojevića: The Meander, the Village and the Viewpoint
The most photographed bend of water in Montenegro, a nineteenth-century bridge, and eleven residents.
35 minutes to Virpazar · Best for: The famous viewpoint, quiet lunches, short river cruises
A few dozen residents, an arched stone bridge from 1854 and the most photographed river bend in Montenegro. Rijeka Crnojevića is the lake's quiet north-western entrance — beautiful, small, and not a substitute for Virpazar if you want the open water.
Prettier and quieter, but boats from here cannot reach the islands or the southern beaches. Most people should visit both.
An hour for the village and viewpoint, two with lunch or a short boat trip.

Skadar Lake
Great in the channels, humbling on open water. Real routes, real distances and the afternoon wind nobody warns you about.

Five locations, the hour each one works, and the gear that actually earns its weight on a boat.
