A few dozen residents, an arched stone bridge from 1854 and the most photographed river bend in Montenegro. Rijeka Crnojevića is the lake's quiet north-western entrance — beautiful, small, and not a substitute for Virpazar if you want the open water.
Things to do
- Pavlova Strana viewpoint, 6 km up the Cetinje road, best before 10:00.
- Walk the old bridge and the waterfront houses.
- Take a short boat down the meander towards the open lake.
- Lunch on the water with nobody else around.
Getting to Skadar Lake
- You are on it — but this arm is river, not open lake.
- Virpazar for full lake routes: 35 minutes by road.
- Cetinje: 20 minutes uphill.
